I Accept the duties with honor.

I will have one of my staff pick numbers so I have no bias.

Hmmm...I was thinking when we got to the boat, we could each pick a name out of a hat for a non-gender bias gift.

But.....knowing in advance the person you're buying for....one might be able to purchase a more...a....

personality appropriate gift.

Hmmmm....I like it.

Ron...I'm not going to want to shop at the boat.

I'm thinking that if we know who we're shoping for and that person does not know and we've got till Dec 15th or 16th to share the booty....we have all this time for the giftee to say or do somehting that would help the giftor pick an appropriate gift.

What do ya'll think?

Lynn...my wife tells me "Plan B" (midwife terminology) is fish or cut bait!

Plan A ..could be..

Names of all parties into hat. Non involved person in Ron's office (Holly) draws 2 names from the hat...bingo, those 2 exchange gifts, and so on.
So we have: Ron, Richard, Michael, Jim, Lynn, Ed, and Moi.   Uh Oh.....no higher mathematicians in our group....we have 7 people so far.

We need an 8th Real Skier to make Plan A work or:

Crap....we need Plan C.

Think brain think?!?!??!?!?

Sorry Gary
Plan B is the trade name for the morning after pill. Hence the inside midwife joke. I have written prescriptions for a fair amount in my time. Sorry, I am inappropriate at times. Comes from being in my line of work. My kids beg me not to talk about STD's and birth control when their friends come over.

Hey. Lynn..somebody sure has to talk about it.

SO...figured out a way to resolve the grab bag dilemma?

Oh yeah.....when my wife was pregnant with twins, the doc keep saying we can do this natural don't worry....but after hours of discomfort, the doc walked in and she grabbed him by the tie and said...."fish or cut bait".

I guess it seemed appropriate at the time.

Now...we need a gift exchange system for 7 people.....ask the next pregnant woman you see......maybe she'll have the answer.

Best,
Gary

7 People???? ?Just don't pair up.?

Write the names down on a list, also put each name in the ski sock.? Ron draws a name out of the ski sock for each and writes it next to the next name on the list starting at the top of the list.? voila.? If he happens to draw the same name as the list name, draw again and put the first name back in the sock.

I actually think we should then post the entire pairings (who's buying for whom) so that if someone actually stumbles across Orange ski dice they can talk to whomever has Gary's name and point in that direction.  More open and fun as we find gifts that might be right for someone other than whatever name was drawn for us.

Nice idea Jim...Get the entire RS family involved.

Still ......there are 7 of us..

Buying a gift for the other person works for the first 6.....

Come on....there must be a way to do this.

size=10pt]NO Guys.[[/size]? It's not paired up. My family did this for years and the number of people never mattered. Example with Jim, Mike, Lynn.
I write down:

Jim? ?_______
Lynn _______
Mike _______

I put three pieces of paper in a ski sock.? One says Jim, one says Mike, one says Lynn.

I draw one piece of paper out of the ski sock (Mike) and write that name next to Jim (Jim buying for Mike).
I draw the second piece of paper out of the sock (Jim), that is who Lynn is buying for (Lynn buying for Jim
I draw the third piece of paper (better not say Ron).? That is who Mike is buying for (Mike buying for Lynn)
