Gentile Readers,

Let me leave this post and head to Tampa Fla. for a long weekend. I'm a little pissed at Urll as I've spent most of the day removing his deposits from my driveway.

This forum is all about discussions and I love a good discussion. In my world there are few absolutes, nothing is black or white, everything is a shade of gray. Advocate for what you believe, listen to those who choose a different point of view, challenge what you disagree with, comment on other's belief's. In the end, we only need to please one's self.

I love to ski with you all.

Peace my brother Mike...and may peace be with you and all who type within!

Hmm...I'd say enjoy the warm weather Mike but shouldn't you be skiing somewhere out west soon?

Best, G...

Uhhh, Gary  -- aren't you a gentile? I was sort of thinking that everyone on here likely was ever since Radrab stopped posting.

I honestly am very content with only two skis. At this point I need more skills, not more skis.

For me, the incremental value and days of use of another ski would be very small.

Now, a carbon fiber mountain bike to complement my road bike to create a ' bike quiver' would have tremendous incremental value--- and that's what I got myself for Christmas this past year. I even went for a 14 mile ride on a local trail in 38 degree temps with snow covering parts just to try out the new lady.

Such control, such honesty, such absolute... ::)

but I dare ask you one question.....I tremble as I ask..

you went for a ride in "38 degree temps" and" tried out the new lady"?

Oh you are a bold one!!! >:D

Yes, and it was with some hesitation that I did it.  Riding a bicycle with snow on the ground (although the trail was mostly clear) was outside my comfort zone.
When skiing, there are lodges if I get cold.  No lodges along Accotink Creek.

But it was a good ride, and 14 miles was surprising given that I hadn't ridden since the middle of November.
Two years ago I wouldn't ride if it was less than 70, this year I did some rides in the 60's, now I'm down to the upper 30's (and that's as low as it goes).
