Very Nice!! There really isn't anything more special. Staying in the trees is great because with that much snow you never know in wide open bowls. I ski in a lot of great conditions in MT where the crowds are virtaully non existent, but when I watch that I know it's time to go grab a heli or cat trip soon!!

http://www.kootenayexperience.com/catskiing.htm

its in Ymir BC, about 20 miles or so from Nelson (where they filmed Roxanne, with Steve martin daryl hanna) You fly into Spokane and then drive about 3 hours. You can also fly into a town called Trail but its a local reagional A/P.?

As good as it was, we were limited due to avi danger. There are some killer open bowls and super steep shots we couldn't get into. We tended to ski the same lines (once per day) to keep them somewhat stabilized. They filled every night so it was great. In some ways it was good because you don't know have any idea where you are skiing or what to expect as you are going down. There are many small cliffs, sudden drops, and other hazards you have to watch out for. One I don't have posted is on a run called Baldy cliffs, i have to stop 2x for heavy sloughing on very steep sections, you aren't supposed to ski on them.? ? There's a short chute that was about 20-30 feet long that was UBER steep and narrow, you entered it and just started to turn, no stopping. It was only about 4-5 turns but maybe I can find it and post it.? ?We also had severe tree-bombs the 4th day and getting hit by on eof them is not a good thing! (a tree-bomb is when the snow collected on branches starts to slough off. These are heavy piles of snow)
