No experience, but if you read through Peter's reviews you'll find the he frequently recommends the "second level" ski in a family as much more appropriate for the vast majority of skiers than the top end.  I've heard this said about the M10 as well.  Of course, depends a lot on your abiltiy, what you are looking for and how you ski.
