Great terrain....love it.....and there's a great reason to have a good short turn in your ski tool bag with excellent speed control.

Nice!

Now find me a tool that measures pitch for skiers.....My wife has an inclinator on her road bike.....not adaptable to skiing.

Very nice shot Ron....thanks,
g

I think TC took that shot.? You dont need no stinkin' inclimeter, if it's steep, you'll know!?

"speed control"- being able to ski in control with speed! >:D

Ron's picture and Snowhot's picture illustrate well the difference in perspective that the camera brings to the incline.

What is also really interesting to me is that since Ron had been there, his brain automatically captured the steepness, it was obvious to him.  I have to say that for me, it looked steep but I would have never put a 40% on it.  I just had to trust that Ron knew what he was talking about.  (I think that point has been adequately established here  >:D

Snowhot's picture from above with the tips jutting over the edge and you still can't see the very first couple of feet............... ........makes the heart pump and establishes the 40%.

A pretty cool study in slope side photography.  Thanks ;D

Ron,
Have you ever seen such elegant lodges as those at Snowbasin?  It feels weird clunking into the bathroom with you ski boots on.
