Ron, is that better than paste wax for a touch-up when traveling? I've been using paste wax, but it doesn't hold up well.  Something more durable would be better.

How do you use it? Just rub on the cold wax and rub it in with the cork?

I just take regular wax and rub it on evenly, not too thick. Then take a cork pad and rub it in, use a nylon brush or something like that- scotchbrite-fine pad should work as well. That's it.

Easy - easy! Thanks! Does it last longer than paste wax?

Great tip - thanks Ron! I'll change my traveling regimen, at least.

Awesome, thanks again.  I'll be at our local shop this weekend, and will pick that up.

Svend, you'll be happy with the results if you do what Ron said.  It has made my travel waxing a whole lot easier.

That'll be a big improvement over paste wax, then.  I've been disappointed with that stuff -- seems like it's gone after two runs.  Thanks!

most pastes will last a half day on soft snow at best. I really like this wax. http://www.racewax.com/product/PB-6730/RaceWax_Molybdenum_TX3_TSeries_Racing_Wax_40_g__PB6730.html

It's hard for you all to beleive but gary hates this wax as the molybendum additive stains the bases of his skis a little gray....... It works extremely well and is very durable but it doesn't "look" good....... I guess if your bases spend so much time looking up, I might feel the same way..... (I am now ducking under my desk and putting on my helmet)

OK, since poor Gary can't be here to defend himself, I feel compelled to put in a good word for him.  I'm sure Gary has a very good reason to display his shiny black bases to the sky so often.  It's just like personal grooming....those who spend lots of time on it, just wanna show the world what they got.? 8) 8) 8)

ADD...yeah, I sympathize with Gary -- I know just how he feels, poor sod.

Actually I feel ADD too when I have to sit in my office for days on end.? :P The Giotto helps keep the attention on task, thank goodness.? Couldn't survive without it.? Just had a nice macchiatto, in fact....can still taste it half and hour later.... :)? I don't think I'd recommend espresso therapy for Gary, though...I would hate to be responsible for the results of that combination!!!
