Metal in X Wing Tornado Construction

For 2009 Salomon makes two versions of the Tornado, one with Titanium in the construction (Tornado Ti) and the other without (just plain old Tornado). Does anyone know if Ti was used in the 2007 or 2008 Tornado models. I thought it was, but can't find any info to confirm. I am a strong believer that metal adds stability to the ski.
