Uh, just got on the bike today for the first time in 8 wks.
I need the weather to stay "bike rideable" for two months.
And I do not ride in rain or temps under 55. Yes, I am a whuss.
A fair weather rider. I have given up trying to change. If the weather
will just give me a bit of time to get into better shape.
THEN, BRING THE SNOW ON!!!

Keeping my eyes on the prize!  ;D

Hey Lynn.....I'm guessing by now your arm is fully healed?

Also...bike riding in cooler temps.....put your ski clothes to good use...the wick away stuff is outstanding for riding outdoors....OR...ge t in some spinning classes or some indoor recumbant bike riding. It all adds up to good ski condiitioning.\

THe break is fully healed, the joint not yet. Still swollen and I am unable to straighten my arm completely. Need to find a PT and work at it. No yoga yet either. Have lost upper body strength.

Yes, will hit the spin classes as well. And yes, I should put ALL the skis layers I have amassed to use before ski season begins!! Good thought. As long as its above 55 degrees. ;D

Hey Lynn...can certainly empathize with you regarding the arm, strength, motion and flexability.

I got into the habit every morning before getting out of bed to do isometric stretching exercises for mobiltiy. Then I'd do more intense arm workouts 3 times per day.

I know it's a pain, but the body does come back....sending you as much encouragement as I can.

I hear ya on the 55 and below...geez...that's skiing weather!

Now...fire up those slow and fast twitchers....G   ;D
