Uh, Phil
Are you sure you're not boring??? ;D ;D ;D

I mean, anyone who has the ability to conjure up binding facts for the last 30 years must be VERY enlightening and fun to be around . To say nothing of the ability to discuss ski dims/construction/ etc for almost any model ski in the same time span.
I am SURE you are a HOOT at parties!! >:D >:D >:D
Mix all the above with a good scotch and I bet you are rarin' to go!!!

Good thing I know you have an excellent sense of humor. Yes, its sunday, its warm, its green and there is no skiing available in a reasonable distance or time span.
So, whats a ski woman to do but pick on you!! :D :D

PS
Some posters seem to post EXCLUSIVELY during their work hours. So the weekends are rather quiet here as a result. Now, since I have non-traditional work hours, I will often check in on the boring times.

Let's make trouble. >:D >:D >:D

Oops, maybe not. I'm supposed to be a moderator. Hmm, well, maybe just a little bit of trouble. I have friends in high places who can be relied on to cut me some slack. (Gandalf, I assume this is true since the oatmeal????) ;D ;D

I am a cure for insomnia for non skiers.

Did some good bike riding this weekend, playing golf tomorrow. Maybe that will un-bore me.

Unfog the mind from the haze of that scotch.

Ah...hmmmmm.....bor ed, borer, or boree!

Only stalking when I'm absolutley, totally without things to do..

Me too golfing and bike riding this past weekend...seems to calm the beast within.

Hmmm...Sept 15th is my kick off date to put on the ski instructional stuff, get the boots on and start reading the John and Harold books....

Looks like a colder season forcasted this winter here and hopefully that translates to oodles of snow.

Got the bike trip to Tuscany in Sept and after that...it better be snowing here!

OR I'll be so freakn' bored......it's that shoulder season!

Best,
G

I just happened to be at the ski shop yesterday for a bit (I love the smell of new gear!) I was BSing with a guy I know there and he claims Mt. Snow is going to try to open on Halloween...which is a Friday. I'm putting in for the day off.  8)

Ron, I hope you are not implying that dear Phil is slimy and sleazy???
I missed the connection between ski pants and STP?   ;D ;D ;D

Of course, if this question shows my Kansas Farm Boy naivete then there is no need to respond.

Actually, Ron, I'm curious if you have ever used STP; do you know what a stiff consistency it is??
It was really popular at one time, but I have a feeling that it may have been 5 years ahead of you? ?
Obviously, Gary is well versed in it's application and use.

So, PHIL, I may have missed it in an earlier post, but what is your age. ?
Do you identify with STP as an exceptional lubricant (but no longer necessary with modern synthetics)?

I know what it is. I was born in 64. If you really call yourself a Skier, then you would only think of STP as a gear dump site... >:D

OOOOO.  I get it.  I even understand Lynn's Well Done comment.  Properly humiliated I am -- and I graduated from high school in '66.

OK, reading matter for Phil to help with his boredom.

Richard Petty's 44 Dodge was sponsored by STP...the other, non ski related one.

We are going see if you dress me up, can I be taken out in public. Ron is trying to get back at me for exposing him to the evils of hardgoods purchases with softgoods. I am just not that fashion savy. Now, if SOS (no relation to either STP's or even STD's) were to come back into the states, all bets are off.

I was gonna mention Petty as well. # 43 IIRC.

I never really used STP. I'm more of a Marvel Mystery Oil or SeaFoam kinda guy.

I think Jim gets it now.
I admit, it went over my head the first time.
Not so astute as I thought I was. :-[ And I just ordered a couple of things this past week!!

Phil
So tell us, what color new ski pants did you get??
And what color is your existing jacket??
Oh, do you still have  "the sweater"????
Vintage, if done properly, can be fashion forward!!
And we are all terribly fashion conscious here at RS.
You know, the bright orange. gingham plaid pants, match your skis kind of crowd! (NOT)

Lynn,

You seem like the only one here who is acting like an adult. SOS is Sportswear of Sweden, It is my favorite line of clothing, I have been wearing it since it came around in the 80's. 'The Sweater' is of SOS vintage, 89ish. Unfortunately, SOS is not currently marketed on the US so I am forced to either shop Ebay, where my current SOS collection comes from or use other brands, such as the pants that Ron got me to buy were Spyder.

I thought they were gray. Looked gray, I guess there might be some black on them.

Note: I was never mistaken for being Carson from QIFTSG. Jeez, I wear a bright red sweater that looks like Fisher Price threw up on, I even wore it with purple pants.
