only those who can truly ski can wer that!

Ok, I did clean out the gear clost this weekend. I think I'm bringing the white/black kjus jacket, the Sypder quilted team race jacket, obie orange pants and the volcom brown pants.  Something for real cold and warmer weather. Buying helmet out there, flat black fuse or Omen.

Douglas, I would definitely try to stop at the Harbskisystems shop in Dumont on your way to Aspen. The real key to what they do is not just in the boot fitting but in their approach to footbeds and then the alignment/canting work that I have never seen duplicated anywhere. The shop is 58 miles from the Denver Airport (right on I 70) and it is rare that it takes more than an hour to get there from DIA. As well, my guess is that it is not more than a 3 hour drive from the shop to Aspen.

I would call the shop and speak with Chris, Harald or Diana. They will take great care of you.

As for skis, I am biased, but there is no better all mountain carving ski than the Head Super Shapes (available in several sizes at the HSS shop). JB.

Michael...does the suite come in a Spider Man version? Yeah Michael, I'm thinking you should buy that suit. A picture of you in that suit would look great on the Christmas tree this year. Man, you wearing that at BC..hmm...think how fast and frozen you'd be!

Ron...don't be playing the "clothes card"  mister....now I figured out why you wanted your own room...You need all the bloody closets for you ski clothes.

Douglas, yep...take the drive to see Harold and like JB said, call ahead this way you can tell them about you and what you'd be looking for...you won't be disappointed!

Best,
Gary

Welcome aboard!

There is a chance my daughter, an ASU student may join us for 2 days. Would you like a room-mate?

Cheers,

Michael

Michael, I would love a room-mate. Do let me know soon, as I asked for a King bed. I will happily change to two queens.
This sounds like it will be a blast.

If you have hand held radios, (like Motorolo or similar) bring them. I have some so this way we can lock on and we if head in to terrain that makes you feel uncomfotable, we can connect by radio and meet up at a chairlift and for? lunch and? dinner if you like.

Best,
Gary

Don't have hand held radios anymore since most places have cell reception (and the kids aren't kids anymore) Should I invest or will most others have their cells also?

Silk underwear feels sooo good too.....

Go with retro 80s look, it was big down under this year.
Purple & Green forever. Fluro Pink over Orange was hot too.

Keep smiling guys.  :)

On the boot front we are just changing flights to get to Denver a couple of days earlier, then drive up to Haralds and buy new boots, sort out fiiting & alignment.
Maybe even ski on another Colorado field while testing the fitting.

Hi Lynn, It turns out that my daughter has only two classes from 12/3 to 2007. However they fall on 12/10 & 12/11 :-[.

So she won't be joining us in BC. Maybe Gary's daughter?

Cheers,

Michael

Ok Doug, sorry bud, but thinking about your silk underwear down under is making me a little woozy here...

But, fantastic about seeing Harold and his elves...they will have your tootsies whooped into shape in no time. Happy for ya bud! Make sure ya tell Harold, Diana, and Rich that Gary Cassara said hello!

Micheal and Lynn, not sure my daughter's visit schedule yet...not sure if she's going to make it or if so, I'm thinking she'll be skiing with us on Tuesday.
But heck, we all know how the kids are...one never knows till the last minute. Really though, she's working for Warren Miller Productions and Fox Sports.....so not sure what here schedule might be yet.

Just been out buying some more Silk Body socks (very thin) to bring North in a couple of weeks. And organising to get the other Silk Body stuff altered to fit properly. Too much exercise !!!!

Douglas,
We will be sure to keep you posted on snow condtions once we return but it's looking like the Rockies will be getting more snow next week. We keep watching the forecast and hoping the big dumps hit the day and for 3days after we arrive.

Make sure you get back to us on the results of your visit with Harold and party.

Best,
Gary

WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT.

MOUNTAIN SNOWFALL WILL BEGIN MONDAY AFTERNOON AND BECOME HEAVY OVERNIGHT.
IN ADDITION...SOUTHWES T WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH WILL CAUSE AREAS OF
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IN EXPOSED LOCATIONS. WINDS WILL SHIFT
TO THE NORTHWEST AFTER A STRONG COLD FRONT PASSES LATE MONDAY
NIGHT AND TUESDAY. THIS WILL BRING LOCALIZED BLIZZARD CONDITIONS
TO EXPOSED AREAS AS WINDS GUST IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH FOR A FEW
HOURS...RESULTING IN WHITEOUT CONDITIONS. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL
WILL RANGE FROM 12 TO 24 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS.
