Your Snow Rapture?
« on: October 18, 2007, 12:50:05 pm »
What does skiing mean to you?

Here's my personal thought's....

My Rapture:

I can express myself in my turn shapes and speed.
The satisfaction of completing in good form a bump run anywhere
The silence and excitement of a tree run
the Float in a knee high powder run, magical
To dance and play with the terrain offered off me
The feeling of total appreciation for the ability to be out there doing someting I love
The ability to share all this with loved ones and close friends.

Yep, I'm in need of the rapture!

well said my friend, I really can't wait for us to carve, slide, scarve, float, smear and dance on the fall line together.

Well, the skill level nowhere comes near to what you are able to feel and experience on the snow Gary, but yes,

... A run completed with a sense of smoothness.
...the feeling of being one with the slope, the snow and the mountain
...occasionally being on the edge of ones ability
...the crisp. cold air, the mountain vistas, the quiet (except when a snowboarder is to your side)
... good company, good wine and good laughs after a great day on the snow.

nice Lynn, I will say I know a few riders who can really carve beautiful lines and were so graceful in the trees. I think you will see a different kind of rider in SB once we get off the trails.
