Ski I want to Demo

Kastle MX 83
Head Rev 105
Head Rev 85

Reviews on the MX 83 have been nothing short of amazing. Dawgcatching rated it the best ski he had ever skied. Realskiers gives it 5's across the board with off the chart comments. After skiing the MX 78 this past season, I am also a fan of Kastle skis at least their traditionally cambered ones. My ski area is carrying Kastles this year so I will try a bunch early in the season and post some reviews.

As more reviews get posted I'm sure I will have others to add to the list. If the Rev 105 skis like a wider Rock N Roll it may the ski we all have been looking for!

For those who don't visit on Epic, the below link gets to Dawgcatching's "Holy Cow" review of the Kastle MX 83. It is an interesting read in that Dawg compares it to many skis we have discussed here.

BTW, my Kastle 88's are on their way to a new owner, Epic's Bumpfreaq. Too much overlap with my incoming Hart Pulse 77 waist skis, at least for this eastern skiers. I do find the low 80 range of skis fits my preferences, and, if Kastle attends the world famous Elk Mtn. demo day on the first Friday in January, then I'd love to try the MX 83.

I do consider JB's announcement on Peter's reviews as the unofficial end of summer.

While the MX83 is nothing short of stellar...Firearrow 84 http://www.epicski.com/products/2013-nordica-fire-arrow-edt-84/reviews/2635 would be my slight pick over it. Where the MX83 works well in the Kastle lineup is that it splits the size runs of the MX88, which is in a 168/178/188, the MX83 is a 163/173/183, so if you are in-between sizes on the 88, which is easy at a 10cm break, the MX83 is a viable option. Between these two skis, buy more towards length, not width. You are buying an MX, not an 83 or 88. For JBotti's size the MX83 in the 183 would be a great choice.

Here is my review of the MX83: http://www.epicski.com/products/2013-k-stle-mx83/reviews/2712

I had the Head Peak 90 (and the 84) as one of my "Steals and Deals" for this past season saying it was one of the best skis that no one knew about and would be available as a great deal on a closeout.
